And so to the final award of the evening...the prestigious Player of the Season sponsored by Bloodweiser. Awarded to the player who has amassed the most star player points it was a hotly contested affair. There were amazing touchdowns, brutal casualties and outstanding performances in all the games but it came down to three players. Touchdown machine 'King' of Limb Bizkit, the heartless mummy Charmin of the same team and the king of the casualty Grarg of Wigan Waaaaghriors.
But the winner, and Player of the Season for the inaugural Red Rose Gaming Fumbbl League is King the Ghoul Runner of Limb Bizkit! He managed six touchdowns and one MVP over the five games giving him a grand total of 23 star players points. An honourable mention must also go to Grarg who netted his total of 18 without any MVP awards.
MVPs in the other teams were Diane O. Nichus of G. E. C. K Ohhh and Stratty of Hashut's Headbangers both on 14 SPPs. Crowd Favourite Big Willy of Oh When The Saints. He promised so much and gave so little. And, best name in the league, Fairionion Khraemosin who managed to shine despite his position as lowly lineman and the death of his close relation Meronrootan Khraemonin (jeez...those name generators!). I'm expecting a bright future from that boy!
So the awards are over for another season. Looking forward to seeing the coaches as they take the reigns of their new charges for the RRGBBL Kahuna Kup which is starting this week on the sunny island of Hawaiiaaaargh!
