But what are the signs of the Apocalypse? Plague upon the land...check! Brother fighting brother...check! Someone winning the Tumbleweed Cup...check! No?! What? Surely not! The RRGOBBL's dustiest trophy will finally be brought out of its store cupboard and into the glorious light of day? Is it true? IT IS!
For three seasons we've passed over this particular cherry but not this season, no sir, because not one but FOUR interceptions were seen during Season 4. And what's more they were, in the main, from unlikely sources...there were one apiece from the Chaos Dwarf Blockers stuart and John of Stumpy Darkness, one from Evad of SparkleMotion with the final one coming from Eibbed, the agility boosted vampire, also from SparkleMotion. This last one being a proper 'Pick 6' as Eibbed ran in the intercept for the game tying Touchdown.
It seems churlish to separate these heroes after such a long wait but that's exactly what we're going to do. After all, it's a waste to have a system and not use it. And, so this season's Tumbleweed Cup goes to Evad of SparkleMotion! This on account of him achieving his one (1) Interception in the fewest number of games and turns. It should also be noted that this came in the SparkleMotion's glorious draw versus reigning champions Rolands Runners and prevented the go ahead Touchdown in the last turn. Truly heroic stuff!
