Ah Sagat! Cool pirate lady of the East. Eye like an eagle, arm like a cannon but the resilience of a blachmange. Last years winner of this illustrious award had the Old World at her feet going into the play offs. Nothing to fear from the rats of Rolands Runners...it's going to be a patty cake score-fest surely. But no, tangled with a merc rat ogre hungry for a new team and it was yo ho ho to the grave I go. See ya later pirate lady...the eye patch really was cool!
So, who can step up and fill the shoes of last seasons King of the Wing? Well, let's find out shall we? After all, it's why we're here! There were quite a few possible contenders with a bit more agility kicking around than previous. There were vampires and gutter runners, crazy agility trained Bull Centaurs and Beastmen seeming to grow on trees and we even had 5 time Monkeybowl winning chimpion QB Dr Zaius dropped into the mix! Heady stuff indeed.
And, sports fans, they didn't disappoint! There were a total of 41 completions across the season which, I'm sure, is loads more than previous. It was Zippy of Rolands Runners and Dr Zaius who led the field with seven completions each but the award goes to Zippy on account of his superior passing distance of twenty three paces to ten. Zippy was also last seasons joint leader in touchdowns but he's fine with his new support role. Honestly, he's FINE. As for the good doctor, he had a good season but it wasn't enough to keep the Simyin out of the basement. Rumours that he bet a cool million Bs on himself to win the KOTW pot have yet to be substantiated...
