Bloodbowl's a funny old thing isn't it? Here today gone tomorrow! Remember Nearly Headless Nick from last season? Lording it up at the awards after being narrowly beaten to the Most Casualties gong by The MatterKhorne.
Remember him lining up for his first game of the new season with golden tusks and steel in his eye? Then remember Bully of Stumpy Darkness, newly returned from a tour of Lustria, lining up opposite him, taking one look at the golden gnashers, and smashing teeth, hip and all with first the Block of the new season? Course you don't! You only remember the blood and the roar of the crowd.
This first award goes to those players who live for that roar. They don't care about the ball, they don't care about the score and they certainly don't care about the laundry bill! All they care about is making sure they don't lose the next game of 'Who's Nick?'.
The top three this time have a suspiciously beefy smell about them but it should come as no surprise to anyone that the big guy who opened up his account on that first fateful day is the same guy who closed out the win. Step forward Bully of Stumpy Darkness. He won the trophy with nine casualties in the regular season, two better than Draxx and three better than Danzig II. John and Bill, also from Stumpy Darkness, finished the season on six casualties apiece. Danzig II comes in third on account of doing his damage in fewer Blocks.
Honourable mention to Nearless Headless Nick II for taking up the mantle and finishing the season with a credible five casualties. See you on the LOS at the start of next season Nick!
