Something about
this award lends itself to ties. Last season we had a tie between Donner, an
orc thrower from Wigan Waaaarghriors, and Catchy McCatcher, a…err…*checks
notes*…catcher from snooty old Gryphon Elite. The previous season we also had a
tie and blow me down but if we haven’t got a tie again this season. A three-way
tie no less!
Gaspar Le’Gecko,
orc thrower Hedwig and skaven speedster Zippy all managed six regular season
touchdowns. All done in seven regular season games so we couldn’t even separate
them that way. With three unique styles on show - Saurus meat shield hide and
seek, come and get it grind, and out-and-out pace to burn – it proves that, in
Bloodbowl, there’s always more than one way to skin a snotling.
Special mention
has to go to Hedwig for scoring all of his teams touchdowns for the season. He
claims his success is down to his patented glue compound ‘Stickball’ made with
100% goblin bones. This may or may not be linked to the high rate of Goblin player
turnover at Orcwarts Towers…I guess we’ll never know…
