This award goes to
the team that puts on the most fat in terms of team value across the season. It’s
usually a delicate balance of performance versus attrition – hanging players
out there to grab the glorious Star Players Points whilst at the same time
keeping them safe from the jealous eyes, claws and knuckledusters of the
opposing team. The team that can walk this tightrope successfully is usually
well on their way to this particular gong.
And the winners
this season were coach Les’s Hadoken who clocked an impressive team value of 1.52Mgc
by season’s end. Based on good recruitment, stellar performances and the team
motto of ‘In Dodge We Trust…’ Hadoken built a solid team that could stand
toe-to-toe with the best of them. Rumours are they signed up for Season IV
before the playoffs even started.
Runners-up were the
also impressive Heavymetalz with a team value of 1.48Mgc. Unluckily, they ended
up being one Mustaine away from winning the whole thing themselves.
