And now we come to
our memorial for this seasons lost heroes. The players who went above and
beyond the call of duty and gave their lives that we might enjoy a bit of blood
and hot dogs.
The regular
season saw its fair share of tragedy. Nine players shuffled off their pads for
the last time with five of them scoring the ignominious Golden Dodo by dying in
their first game. With three each from Thatto Heath Rangers and KhorneHub and two from Roland's Runners most of the teams managed to avoid the attentions of Nuffle.
Some notable deaths included Mustaine of the Heavymetalz,
high speed impact with the dirt, Bungle of Roland’s Runners, sabotaged by his
own team who’d had enough of his moaning, and, unbelievably, Khuck Norris of KhorneHub!
No one is quite
sure whether Khuck died in the game against Thatto Heath Rangers or whether he hit his opponent so hard that everyone else in Bloodbowl died instantly
and this is all just the last ramblings of a dying mind…could be, who would
know?
